The good news is there are several options in the entry level CNC plasma table space that won’t break the bank.

When buying new tools it’s often difficult to choose a good mix of price vs performance.

On one hand you want something that won’t cost a fortune, one the other hand you want to make sure you get the features you need.

We are going to take a look at some of the most affordable entry level CNC plasma tables on the market today.

Any of these would be a fine entry level CNC plasma table as long as the specifications match your specific needs.

Prices and specifications for plasma tables can change quickly, so please check the manufacturer’s website for up to date information.

The plasma tables are listed in order of cost, from low to high, at the time this article was written.

CrossFire Personal CNC Plasma Table

The CrossFire Personal CNC plasma table is the least expensive plasma table on our list, but that does not mean it is short on features.

It has a cutting area of 25” by 23” which is very common for an entry level CNC plasma table size.

The CrossFire Personal has rollers, so it is easy to roll away to store when not in use.

It also has an open cantilever table design which provides the space to cut larger pieces of material than other table designs would allow.

There’s no complicated fixtures or setup required to use the CrossFire Personal, just set up your torch and you are ready to go.

This machine is pretty fast too, it cuts at up to 300 inches per minute.

Langmuir Systems has other, more expensive CNC plasma tables in addition to the CrossFire Personal model in case you need more features and have a bigger budget.

Premier Plasma CNC 4×4 Table

The Premier Plasma CNC 4×4 table is larger than most of the entry level CNC plasma tables you will come across.

This CNC plasma table has a gantry style design with a floating head on the Z axis with a ball and screw.

When you order you can specify either a handheld or machine torch adapter.

This unit does not have rollers, so it is not as easily movable as some others that have rollers.

The machine frame is very sturdy and will not move or wobble like some of the less heavily built units out there.

One of the more unique things about this entry level CNC plasma table is that it actually includes a laptop computer already set up with all the software you will need to get started.

When ordering there are some additional options available, such as a water pan, torch height control, and even a choice of a few different plasma cutters.

There options are at an additional cost.

GoTorch Hobby CNC Plasma Cutter

The GoTorch is still very adffordable and has a ton of nice features.

One of the most interesting features is the table size can be expanded easily in the future.

The base table size in 2 feet by 2 feet, but it can be expanded up to 5 feet by 5 feet.

This is certainly a nice feature that will allow the entry level CNC plasma table to grow with you should you ever need it.

The GoTorch can also use standard handheld plasma torches instead of the more expensive “machine torches” required by many other plasma tables.

The GoTorch comes with everything you need to get started including basic software.

You just need a computer and a plasma cutter.
